Grower News: September 2016 Proclaimed Soybean Month

BY David Schiff | June 26, 2016 -

Wisconsin governor Scott Walker has proclaimed September, 2016 to be Soybean Month in the State of Wisconsin.

The official proclamation, which you can read above, recognizes the significant contribution that Wisconsin soybean growers make to our lives and economy.

Wisconsin soybeans help feed a hungry planet, create hundreds of thousands of jobs and contribute vital tax dollars to support infrastructure in our state.

What’s more, your contributions continue to grow. The U.S. Department of Agriculture currently estimates that “Wisconsin farmers will harvest a record amount of soybean this year, contributing the great impact of this industry on our state.”

It’s an honor that’s been earned through hard work, dedication, personal sacrifice and commitment. It’s an honor worth celebrating.
