Dr. Damon Smith, Extension Field Crop Pathologist at UW-Madison, recently tweeted a Wisconsin White Mold Risk Map for July 4, 2017
Please remember the tool is for guidance only and comes with a set of easy to follow and apply instructions to determine the risk of white mold based on location.
According to Dr. Smith: “Currently, risk is highest for soybean fields in the west-central to northwest portions of Wisconsin. Risk is also high in a band stretching from south-central Wisconsin to northeast Wisconsin. Risk is further elevated in fields planted to 15″ row-spacing and/or irrigated.”
