WSA President Featured on MSNBC to Discuss Trade War Updates

On August 8, 2019, Wisconsin Soybean Association President, Tony Mellenthin, spoke with MSNBC Live host Ali Veshli, about the continued impact of the escalating U.S.-China trade war on American soybean farmers. The loss of the Chinese market has left American farmers struggling to find a new market or combination of markets to make up for loss. Mellenthin’s long-term hope is that a trade agreement will be reached to enable soybean farmers to sell product back into the Chinese market. That being said, it is highly unlikely that the U.S. could get all of the lost business back from China following any type of agreement.
